Movement, Mantra, Meditation, and Mindfulness = The Four Corners Of A Purpose Driven Life
If you ever find yourself feeling stuck, worried or lethargic, try bringing the element of water into your daily practice. Water has the ability to flow past rocks, trees, and even mountains. It does so without much effort because water's nature is to flow. Water is feminine in nature, soft and yielding. It is the element of wisdom, stillness, quiet strength, emotion and purification. Water represents the season of livelihood and movement toward the end of a cycle. The following practice is about twelve minutes. This is a great starter practice for you to do on days when you feel like you don't have time for a longer workout but you know you need to go with the flow. The first sequence of poses is borrowed from Julie Rader's Elemental 33 Practice. I have added my own twist to it, literally, there are a few twists and a two minute blast of fire to get your heart pumping.
Follow along at home and feel free to modify each pose to fit with your personal needs and body type.
For example: if jumping lunges isn't your thing, simply do the lunge and then step back and forth from leg to leg.
Get in the flow and let me know how it goes!
